How to reappropriate, renegotiate, reclaim, and voice up?
In this way, On How To Resist explores the shape, the possibilities, the agency of digital resistance against the hegemonic systems of power and representation. 12:30- 14:30 Workshop by Valentina Karga “The gigantic Jelly-Blob: the final revolution”. Guest Star: Dimitris Savvaides (RU/EN)
The gigantic Jelly-Blob is part of a larger ongoing investigation on the impacts of the digital and immaterial realm in the collective psyche. This realm is now so intrinsically linked to our material world that there is no away, no in and out. Everything is becoming one thing. We have tried revolt and all kinds of fight in order to keep realms separate; and although many battles have been won, we find ourselves exhausted in our effort to escape. Perhaps it is time for a re-framing. What if we stop revolt by stopping fighting? The viewers are invited to participate in a lecture-performance, creating thus a space for communication, togetherness, and embodiment of ideas. Using fiction and metaphors, they will be invited to share their visions reflections, and ideas. No particular knowledge or skills are required.

14:30-16:00 Panel Discussion with Jacqueline Maybey (art & Feminism), Diana Krause (MMOMA). Moderated by Barbara Cueto (RU/EN)
Art history is full with male artist names while female artists have been often relegated to secondary positions. Today, despite of the promise of democratization of the digital age, the art world still feels the imbalanced representation both online and offline. Nevertheless, the digital realm has made possible strategies like Art&Feminism to function, and there is a boom of engaged female artists working digital forms. But how shall we archive the (female) present to overcome the past problematic? What are the tools and strategies used by female artists in Russia and abroad? What are the prospects and limits of these trends?
